Mail-in MacBook repair, from your door to our bench and back
You do not have to live near a repair shop to get a MacBook serviced well. Bookronix LLC is a mail-in workshop: you request a work order, pack the machine with our checklist, and ship it to our facility at 2140 Airport Rd in Wilmington, Delaware. We diagnose it, repair what is broken, run a test cycle, and ship it back to your address.
Why a mail-in workshop works
A local shop is convenient until it is not. When a board-level fault appears, many walk-in counters send the machine somewhere else anyway, and the customer waits without knowing who is holding the laptop or what is being done to it. Bookronix removes that uncertainty. Every machine that arrives at our Wilmington facility gets a work order number, a documented intake, and a written estimate before any repair begins. You approve the estimate by email, and only then does the machine move to a bench.
Mail-in also means we can specialise. Instead of stocking parts for every brand, we focus on Apple portables: MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, across the Intel and Apple-silicon generations that customers still use every day. That focus keeps the correct batteries, display assemblies, keyboards and board components on the shelf, so a repair does not stall on a part that has to be ordered from a supplier in another country.
What we repair
- Batteries that drain quickly, swell, or refuse to charge past a low percentage. See battery repair.
- Displays, keyboards and trackpads, including cracked glass, dead backlight sections, sticky or unresponsive keys and worn keycaps. See screen and keyboard repair.
- Logic boards and liquid damage, including machines that will not power on after a spill or a power surge. See logic board and liquid damage.
- Charging faults: USB-C ports that only charge at an angle, MagSafe connectors that spark, or a machine that charges but never reaches full.
- Storage and setup work: solid-state storage replacement where the model allows it, plus clean reinstalls and data-friendly rebuilds.
How the process runs
- Request a quote. Describe the fault in plain language and tell us the model, the year and your shipping country. We reply with a starting estimate and the correct service tier.
- Pack and ship. Follow the mail-in kit instructions. Use the outer box, the padding plan and the customs wording we give you for your country.
- Intake and diagnosis. On arrival the machine is registered, photographed, and tested. We confirm the fault and send a firm estimate. Nothing is charged before you approve.
- Repair and return. An approved job goes to the bench, then through a charge, boot and thermal test. The machine is packed and shipped back with tracking, and it carries our six-month limited warranty. Read the warranty terms.
Where our customers ship from
Bookronix serves customers in the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Germany, France and the Netherlands, the Nordics, Australia and New Zealand, and other Tier-1 markets that can reach a parcel network. Every lane is documented with customs wording so that a repaired laptop returning across a border is not held up as a commercial import. The full breakdown, including what to declare, is on the countries page.
Pricing you can plan around
We publish starting prices rather than a single flat rate, because a MacBook repair is not one job. A battery service begins lower than a display replacement, and a board-level repair depends on which rail or component has failed. Typical ranges are listed on the pricing page, and your written estimate confirms the exact figure before work starts. Shipping is paid by the customer in both directions on most lanes; where a prepaid label is available we say so up front.
What you get at the end
Every returned machine comes with a short service summary: the work order number, what was tested, what was replaced, and what the six-month limited warranty covers. If a covered fault returns within that window, we take the machine back and re-examine it at no labour charge. The turnaround and warranty page explains the timelines and the exclusions in detail.
If you would rather ask a human first, call +1 (302) 555-0117 or email [email protected]. We answer questions about a machine before you commit to shipping it.
